Khadro Jama, an ambitious farmer from the Gedo region, encountered a multitude of challenges on her path to establishing a thriving agricultural business. Limited access to capital and insufficient resources, combined with the burden of shouldering all farming expenses, hindered her ability to expand operations and achieve a fruitful harvest. Nevertheless, Khadro’s unwavering determination and her vision of a prosperous farm continued to drive her forward.

With the alleviation of financial constraints, Khadro dedicated her time and effort to cultivating her land. Maal Microfinance played a crucial role by providing specialized training programs, equipping her with modern farming techniques, sustainable practices, and valuable knowledge to enhance productivity. Embracing these opportunities, Khadro diligently applied the acquired wisdom to her farm, leading to remarkable progress. Her journey towards success served as an inspiration for other women in the community, motivating them to pursue their agricultural dreams with newfound confidence.

Witnessing the transformative impact of Maal Microfinance’s unwavering support, an increasing number of women in the Gedo region have been encouraged to actively engage in farming. Recognizing the potential for further growth and the positive impact it can have on the community, Khadro is now seeking a fund of $690 to develop and expand her farm. By doing so, she aims to empower other women in her community by providing them with opportunities to thrive in the agricultural sector.
